SHOWT Home and News Page
SHOWT is an action group of local villages campaigning against Enertrag UK's proposal to develop a wind power station at Hempnall, a small village in rural South Norfolk some seven miles south of Norwich and with a population of just under 1300 people.
Enertrag have chosen this site, in part, because it is in their view "sparsely populated" and the impact will therefore be limited. In fact, at 130 metres tall, these turbines will dominate the landscape for miles around and have an impact on the quality of life of thousands of people throughout South Norfolk.
SHOWT has been formed to inform people about the Hempnall proposal, to act as a voice for those affected, and, should a planning application be made to SNDC, to ensure that it is rejected.
