Shrouded in the fog, just before Christmas, contractors crept in to install a 50 metre tall meteorological mast. The mast has been installed by Enertrag to measure wind speed and direction at the Hempnall site on which they propose to build seven 130 metre high turbines.

At their January 18 'consultation' in the village, Enertrag promised to make public a 'summary' of the data produced from the mast. We'll see.

If nothing else, the 50 metre tall mast gives the first indication of the impact that 130 metre high turbines will have on this gently undulating landscape of fields and hedgerows.
