CPRE Norfolk opposes the Hempnall turbines

The Norfolk branch of the Council for the Protection of Rural England has decided to oppose the Hempnall wind power station proposal. In a move which SHOWT strongly welcomes, CPRE Norfolk's Executive Committee has now formally endorsed the policy of its South Norfolk branch in opposing the Enertrag plan.

CPRE had previously classified the area where Enertrag are planning to build the 7 huge turbines as one of the most tranquil areas in Norfolk, deserving of protection from noise pollution, light pollution, and intrusion by large industrial structures.

SHOWT understands that CPRE Norfolk will now oppose the Hempnall turbines at every relevant stage in the planning process, as part of its Tranquility Campaign.
