How big are the proposed Hempnall turbines? Would I really notice them?
They would be massive, 130 metres (426 feet) tall to the tip of the blade. That is 34 metres, or 111 feet, taller than the spire of Norwich Cathedral, and more than seven times the height of St. Margaret's Church in Hempnall.
The rotor diameter of 90 metres, or 295 feet, is almost 40% bigger than a Jumbo Jet.
Seven of these turbines would dominate the landscape for miles around.
