No. The SHOWT campaign group fully supports the development of renewable energy technologies in appropriate sites. Hempnall is not an appropriate site for a wind power station.
The village, surrounding area, landscape and wildlife could pay much too high a price for very little local, national or global benefit.
The current political pressures could be much better directed towards more effective solutions to the problem of sustainable energy production and energy conservation, for the benefit of everyone in the community, and the environment.
