Wind Power Issues
There is a huge amount of information, and misinformation, already published on wind power. Developers, like Enertrag, and their trade body the British Wind Energy Association will tell one side of the story. But there is another side. We stand to have our community and landscape changed for a whole generation. It is entirely reasonable for us to ask whether the claims of the wind lobby really justify the scale of loss that many of us will feel when 130 metre turbines dominate our homes and our landscape.
As a starting point, we highlight some useful links to background information on many of the relevant issues. We have divided the issues into five broad themes; General, Political, Economic, Technical, and Environmental. Inevitably there are areas of overlap. We have also added a sixth section, consisting of links to some of the many campaigns fighting against inappropriate wind power stations up and down the country.
